KURVE, the first-to-market digital smart metering and pay-as-you-go (PAYG) web-app for heat networks, has scooped a high-profile Digital Innovation award at the Decentralised Energy Awards, from the Association for Decentralised Energy (ADE).
The joint venture between Insite Energy & SAV Systems was declared the ‘stand-out’ winner in the Heat and Efficiency: Digital Innovation category by judge Sumit Bose, Founder of Future Net Zero.
In a video message relayed at the awards ceremony, which was held online on June 16, 2021, Bose remarked:
“It was KURVE all the way. It was smart. I liked the way the technology was segued into things, the way it worked in terms of how it was very, very effective. Cost management was great. And it had a certain something about it which I can’t quite put my finger on, but, for me, it really had stand-out qualities to win.”
KURVE gives residents control over their heating wherever they are, using any internet device. Through the KURVE web-app, customers can better understand their energy usage, access their energy data history, and make quick and easy payments, 24/7. This answers a long-standing need for a low-cost, PAYG, heat-network metering solution that does not compromise on service, quality, or convenience.
Insite Energy’s project manager for KURVE, Ellie Blacklock, said:
“Insite Energy is technology agnostic, and we specify a wide range of metering and billing platforms as per our clients’ needs. Increasingly, when we lay all the options onto the table at meetings with developers, housing associations and managing agents, it is the KURVE web app that comes out as the ‘no brainer’, due to its simplicity and cost-saving. This experience, now backed up by our ADE award, makes all the hard work developing KURVE worthwhile. We’re really happy with this industry recognition.”
KURVE is also a finalist for Digital Innovation of the Year in the upcoming Energy Awards.
